Today is Saturday February 12, 2011 and I've officially been away at school a little over a month. In addition to the three Video classes I am taking (Video 2, Art of Production and Film Editing)
I am also a full time student and living on campus at University of Charlotte. With my schedule and having to take classes on two campuses it has kept me very busy so unfortunately it hasn't left a lot of time for physical activity. I occasionally play basketball (Did last Friday) but I really haven't done much in regards to physical activity.
A positive though is that I've been maintaining a relatively healthy diet and added 2% organic milk to the rotation.

Another week done with at school. In the library right now and about to jump on the Comm Theory studying, because I have a test Wed for it. Last week was pretty fun, went to a Men's b-ball game with some friends and last night got to hang out with a different group of friends.

At the library right now, current time is 12:39 AM. Last week was rough with the two tests in one day. The Comm Theory was an 80 and an 86 for Black Images. Today I had my first Politics of Caribbean Test so it was good to get that out of the way. 19 question, I feel I got probably 14-15 correct, we'll see how that turns out. Tomorrow is pretty huge because I have Comm Theory, Pop Culture and a meeting at 2:30 with my adviser. In the meantime I also have to finish up that black images assignment.

First day in Boston. Woke up early, shaved face and on the road by 8 with the family. Airport line up was very crowded but I made it to my 9:45 flight in time, up in the air. Landed at 12 noon. J-man picked me up from airport. ______ went to Walgreen's to pick up ID. Then back on the T for b-ball @ Northeastern. Sitting around at first 2 games

Current time is 8:12 AM. Last night watched The Boondock Saints. During the day we ate breakfast at Twin Donut, lunch at Bombay Cafe, shopped around _____ Niketown and etc. Picked up a camo shirt @ Army Barracks, Dinner at Cafe Java. Plan is to ball tonight @ Northeastern when JJ gets back.

Back at UNC Charlotte, Spring break over. It was a pretty good time. Yesterday I was at the house and watched the ACC + SEC tourney finals Duke and Kentucky won. Post game went outside to shoot around @ Birkdale for an hour or so, left at 6 to shower up and pack bags. We went to Noodle Tasia, post dinner dropped me off at Charlotte University. Saturday recovered from the party + JJ's dinner @ TGIF Friday's then headed to Twin Donut for an early lunch. After that walked around in the park till I had to leave for my flight. Got to the airport relatively quick and was able to check in without a problem. 3:30 and waiting for boarding my flight. The actual flight went pretty smooth and we actually landed ahead of time. Off plane and down at baggage claim, my bag was one of the first ones to come out so I grabbed it and left to wait on Dad who was coming from Davidson. Friday

First week post spring break winds down and very glad to get it done with. Monday I went in to CPCC and had to finalize my 1 minute editing project. The school comps didn't support WMV files so I had to convert it via a website to MOV. It worked out okay and I was able to get my video on the correct format to show for Tuesday's due date. Rest of the week was dry post Editing+Video class wasted time at library comp lab till 2 AM, then came back into dorm and downed some rum shots before sleeping @ 2:30 AM. Wed had a lot of trouble getting up in the AM, but made it in time for Comm Theory. Next I met up with Eric at the library before Pop Culture to get some food.
After Pop Culture did some re-charging then back to the library to get more work done. Dropped my backpack off at dorm, then headed out for my Black Images class at 5. I participated early this time, was good to get recognized. Teacher throws in a movie: Cabin in The Sky and a good 15 people get up and leave. As the movie continues students keep getting up and leaving until movie ends, there's about 30 or so students left. So the teacher gives out a very easy Pop Quiz. After class went to library for some surfing of the web. Didn't get to bed till 2:30 again and paid for it. Thursday had wicked trouble getting up but made it in time for Caribbean class. She handed back the first test and told us she added 2 points, so that gave me an 80%. Not all that bad, especially considering how much the teach criticized our performance as a class. I'll just have to turn up the effort going forward.
Took the bus into Charlotte, arrived around 12:30 and stopped in @ Time Warner Cable to see the teams practice first up was Tennessee followed by Hampton after them was Michigan and the last team to practice was Duke. They obviously got a very positive ovation. The Plumlee's, Thornton, Curry, Smith, Singler and Irving stole the show. Next year for Duke is going to be nuts, as they'll have 3 Plumlee's, Curry, Dawkins and Austin Rivers. Post practices I got up and headed over to school. In class today was guest speaker Rohit Ghupa an Indian film maker who spoke to the class about his experiences making his 1st film. What I found most impressive was that he had a two person crew and did all the filming, directing and editing, very motivational to see that he did all the things to make the film. Friday, got up kinda late and headed to Pop Culture class, would have liked to attend the Toastmaster's meeting @ eleven, maybe next week. Class over, and got on the 1:55 bus, to CPCC for filming. Arrived at the school around 2:30 and headed over to the editing room. We got our crew and headed out to NoDA. Filmed in a couple places including the Mint Museum. Then uptown, before in the car and back to NoDa. Ate some frozen yogurt and helped out shooting an art gallery. was done about 9 so, took bus back to UNC. Got back close to ten, took 3 rum shots mixed with Coca-Cola, and headed out at 10:50 to see the 11:15 showing of The Tourist.

Current time is 5:42 PM, in the library. This past week was incredibly stressful for me, it started out kind of weak, Monday I got an early breakfast, went to Comm Theory then caught a bus for Production class. Tuesday we saw Life & Debt a movie about Jamaica in Politics of the Caribbean class, there were only ten people in class. Since I had editing at 3, I had to leave via bus. In the back of my mind I am still a bit worried getting the Pop Culture semester paper done. Wednesday is when shit would get really ugly, beforehand Eric told me to not worry because these would be the two days where we get a lot of work done and KO the paper.
So Wed at 7:30 he responded to my e-mail telling me he's in the library. So far so good, I text him at 10:15 or so that I am on way to library. Eric responds back that he's having a bad morning and at home right now, he'll see me after Pop Culture class. I don't put much stock into it, class goes and comes, I turn on my phone and continue on to the library. Read a text from Eric that says he's dropping the class and that he's sorry. Immediately at library I dived into writing the paper. Was up till 3 AM at the library writing up his half of the paper. Left the library with two written pages front to back.
Thursday I got up early and headed to Caribbean class. In class we talked about the in class movie Life & Debt. Post class leave on bus to CPCC for Video 2 fortunately the class wasn't all that long and I was able to get on the 8pm #11 bus back to school. Did some work in the library until 9, when I took a food break. Kinda took my time, watched Duke get blown out in the Sweet 16 vs Arizona, then went back to the Library to KO the paper. Worked all night and finally printed out a Final rough draft at 8 AM in the morning. Went back to dorm, and rested a little before back up and off to attend my first Toastmaster's meeting at 11 AM. made it to the meeting and then on to Pop Culture class after. Watched The Dilemma that night @ Student Union and went to bed around 1:30 AM. Saturday because of all the fatigue I stupidly slept in till 3 PM. That night watched Ult Fight Night.

In the library and on computer. Got done with 2nd Pop Culture test. Before that in the dorm had another minor altercation with Lenerius. This is starting to get pretty annoying as he always seems to have an opinion about my behavior and how it effects him. I did lash out a bit at him for it today, and we'll probably talk more about it later. Just gotta smooth it over, I'm willing to work on and improve, we'll see how it all works out. Wed was the Comm Theory test, which seemed pretty challenging. Post test saw Nicole at the Student Union and we chit chatted some. Tuesday night reviewed for the Comm Theory test the review session was pretty well attended, with 10-11 people (mostly girls) as for the SI session @ 5, it was also very well attended.
