Second half of April

Current time is 1:25 PM. Yesterday went to Toastmaster's at 11 followed by Pop Culture. At the Toastmaster's meeting I gave my first mini speech for table topics, it was a bit short at 51 seconds but still a good experience to get up and talk. On to Pop Culture at 12:30, another very boring class today, had trouble staying awake and almost dozed off a couple times. New idea going forward, eat a Power bar before that class. Post class got some food and went to Library to get work done. Since free haircuts were happening in the Student Activity Center, so I headed there at 4:15, in plenty of time to get my free haircut. Post hair cut, went back to the dorm to hang for a bit, saw Edwin there, and we headed out for a dinner at Residence Dining Hall. After dinner it was 6:15 so I headed to the library for a bit to get some work done, had to leave lib. because it closed at 8. That night I saw Revenge & Flatliners on crackle.com and after, went to bed around 2.

Current time is 6:41 and back at the library ready to get work done. Saturday had a Video shoot with Justin + Robert to take care of. I got to use the camera so when George is bugging on Thursday as to how I helped out, I can say what I did. Hung out the rest of Saturday, and that night watched Winter's Bone. Friday was a pretty big day, since I had to get up early and catch a bus for the 11 AM Halton Theater shoot, followed by driving to Concord Mills. It was a pretty successful trip as I picked up a UNC Bamboo T-shirt as well as the Zoom Kobe V.

Post Concord trip, Thomas and I drove over to Wendy's. hung out there for a bit, then I got dropped off uptown for the Blue Man Group show at 8pm. Thursday I saw the Company Men late night and got a ride home from Clingerman. Before that was Video 2 which was kind of funny, as George got on our class yet again for lacking footage. Pre-Video 2 me and Phillip finished up + handed in our Globalization project. Wed night was Chris Pittman's concert at UNC Charlotte, but before that we watched White Man's Burden in Black Images. It was very annoying because the audience couldn't be quiet.

At the library first floor. Current time is 3:35 AM. Finished up my Economy paper, I finally got it to two pages but it took way too long. Saw N late at the library face touch. While in the Student Union watching the Heat-76ers game I got chatting with a couple peeps (Marcus, Brian) dropped a random sports tidbit, and next thing you know, we're friendly. They peaced out but before that chatted them up about potentially hooping on Friday at 4. Black Images ended pretty early, the big thing there was the teacher briefing us about our Final. It's 75 questions, online and 25 of the ?ions will be from previous tests.

Pop Culture as usual isn't really worth mentioning, but after that class I did get some Chil Fil'E. As for Monday, it was pretty good as the highlight of that day was playing b-ball @ 8:30. I missed out on game one and had to run back to my dorm to get Under Armour tights. Game 1 was on, missed a couple easy lay ups but finally got into my groove making a dead on gimme lay up. Second bucket was a drive on the left side. 3rd bucket another middle drive. 4th bucket was a quick drive via left side. As for the 5th bucket I caught a pass mid post and went right up with it to score off the glass. The 6th bucket and game winner was off a rebound where I put it right back up. Game 1 over.

Game 2 started up on a different court and my team won that game also ... I remember getting 3-4 buckets in that game too.

At the library right now, current time is 12:14. Getting ready to call it a night. Saturday was UFC 129, really happy about the show because the PPV went live at 9 oppose to the usual 10PM start time and it definitely helped out as the event normally would have ended around 1, meaning I'd have missed the bus. And with both title fights going the full 25 minutes it made for a very long event. The first main card fight went 3 rounds and Ben Henderson won, the second main card fight ended in 20 seconds, as for the 3rd main card fight, Randy Couture was knocked out by a Lyoto Machida front kick (17-2). The Featherweight title fight went the full 5 rounds and Jose Aldo for the most part dominated. In the Main Event, Georges St. Pierre improved to 16-2 in the UFC and 22-2 overall with a unanimous decision win over Jake Shields.

Cinco De Mayo. Current time is 5:07, at CPCC right now. Earlier today shot some Halton B-roll with Joe which included exterior of Halton, classrooms (with + without students) Tate recital hall, the orchestra pit in motion and Pease Auditorium. I also returned the HVX 200 camera that I took out. Wed at CPCC, took care of the interview with Bobby G at 3 PM. Brian was unable to make it. Me and Brian were planning to do the night shoot at Halton but I had to check out a camera myself and team up with Latasha instead to get it done.

Middle of the first week of summer school. Living on campus at Laurel Hall. It's pretty nice, very close to the Student Union so commuting to classes is nice and easy. After Stat class, saw Eddy from last summers Biology class, chatted up for a bit, then grabbed an organic milk and headed to the bus. Had two video shoots, and didn't leave CPCC until 8:45. Since I got back so late everything on campus was closed so I ordered a Domino's pizza via the internet for dinner.

The current time today is 2:44 pm, Statistics went okay, but I'm planning to hit up the tutor session at Denny at 4 PM. Have some homework to get done, so I'll continue working on the HW till 4. The tutoring ends at 6:30, so I'd like to maximize my time there depending on how helpful it winds up being for me.
